Smart device R&D Testing

The number of ways a human interacts with smart devices has grown exponentially. The ways to interact are no longer limited to touching the screen or pushing the buttons. Voice control, gestures and new ways of using touch (like force & hovering) and stylus are already on the market but they are under heavy further development and test. For example force control can be realized with 3D touch (three different levels) or by applying varying amount of pressure for different functions like passive pen or active stylus. The quality and functionality of these user interaction methods directly affect the overall user experience and they have to be validated, calibrated and tested during R&D and production.

Humanlike Testing for User Interactions

Humanlike testing is a test method for automated, robot assisted testing with multi modal feedback from the devices under test. Building a humanlike test environment means that all human gestures starting from simple touch all the way to voice commands are reproduced artificially with 100% accuracy. Our core for humanlike testing is the Human Simulator™, a robot-assisted test approach which simulates the human gestures, but unlike the real human user, does it with 100% repeatability and reliability. The Human Simulator™ consists of multiple cameras and sensors to operate as eyes, ears and senses, robotics simulating hands. All this is controlled with our cognitive test & measurement software including database and reporting tools.
