OptoFidelity Group Appoints New CEOs in Finland and the US to Drive Global Growth and Operational Excellence

OptoFidelity is the leading provider of advanced optical metrology systems for Augmented Reality (AR) glasses and other smart devices. New management brings large-scale manufacturing expertise to better support customers as they shift from small-scale to mass production of AR smart glasses.

June 25, 2025 – Tampere, Finland and San Jose, California – OptoFidelity Group, a global leader in advanced optical metrology systems for AR manufacturing, today announced the appointment of Hans Kuosmanen as the new CEO of OptoFidelity OY in Finland and Wei Wang as the new CEO of OptoFidelity Inc. in the United States. These leadership appointments strengthen the company’s commitment to delivering a seamless, global customer experience and scaling up its technology and manufacturing operations.

Based in Tampere, Finland, OptoFidelity OY serves as the technological heart of the OptoFidelity Group. Hans Kuosmanen brings 18 years of leadership experience at OptoFidelity. Most recently he served as Chief Production Officer, where he was responsible for global manufacturing, including successfully launching the company’s optics production capability in Zhuhai, China. Under Kuosmanen’s leadership, OptoFidelity OY will focus on expanding its R&D capabilities in Finland and enhancing its global product delivery mechanisms.

In the United States, Wei Wang has been appointed CEO of OptoFidelity Inc., which is responsible for serving some of OptoFidelity’s largest global customers. Wang is a veteran engineering executive with extensive experience at leading technology teams, including a successful track record at Apple where he managed international engineering teams shipping high-volume products and navigating complex, fast-moving production environments. Wang will also serve as Chair of the Board at OptoFidelity OY, helping align strategic decisions across the organization and ensuring global coordination.

The leadership appointments follow the departure of former Finland and US CEO Lasse Lepistö, who is stepping down after more than five years as CEO and 18 years at the company, steering OptoFidelity through significant phases of growth and innovation.
